WHY CHOOSE FACIAL SCULPTING/CONTOURING?
Facial sculpting or contouring is a technique that gives the patient an oval- or V-shape face that is slimmer in profile. A common and popular facial slimming treatment among Asians, the slimming of the facial features gives the individual a more youthful look, while the skin will appear rejuvenated and healthier.
This treatment is suitable for:
- A square-shaped jawline
- A jawline that is more masculine in nature
- Chubby cheeks
- Cheeks to appear “slimmer”
- Those who want to reduce involuntary teeth grinding (bruxism)
HOW IT WORKS
Botulinum Toxin (Botox) acts as a relaxant for jaw muscles, inducing relaxation and also thins the chewing muscles (masseter) in the lateral jaw. The injected Botulinum Toxin will block the nerve impulses of the muscles in the selected area, diminishing the fine lines and wrinkles while ensuring your cheekbones look full and face is lifted. It also helps to refresh your overall appearance, giving you a more youthful-looking face that shaves years off your actual age.
The treatment is also suitable for individuals who are afraid of or do not want to opt for surgical methods. It consists of a few simple injections to the selected areas, with numbing cream applied prior to treatment in order to reduce any discomfort or pain. The smallest and finest needles are used to inject Botox, minimising any redness, bruising or bleeding on the facial skin – these are the only “side effects” of the treatment, as actual side effects are extremely uncommon.
Improvements will start to show after 3-5 days, and your skin will appear smoother as the new oval- or V-shape begins to form. As the treatment only affects injected facial muscles, other muscles continue functioning as normal and your facial expressions will be unaffected.
The effects of Botox on your face can last up to 3-4 months after the initial treatment, but more sessions are required in order to maintain your youthful appearance. Once a few treatments have been completed, future sessions may only be needed once in 6 months as the effects will begin to last longer. Your doctor will advise you on initial and subsequent treatments if needed, as well as schedule an appointment 2 weeks after the initial treatment to gauge the progress made.
Deoxycholic acid MAY BE RIGHT FOR YOU IF:
- You’re bothered (unhappy, self-conscious, embarrassed) by fat under the chin, also known as submental fullness
- You feel the condition makes you look older or heavier than you actually are
- You don’t want to have surgery
- You eat well and exercise, but submental fullness does not go away
What is Fat dissolve?
Deoxycholic acid is the first and only FDA-Approved injectable to improve the appearance of fat beneath the chin by physically destroying fat cells.
Fat dissolve is a new injectable treatment that melts away the excess fat that causes double chins. The substance is a man-made form of deoxycholic acid, a naturally occurring material that helps the body absorb fat. Double chins can be a pesky problem area, but with Fat dissolve you can destroy the fat cells contributing to this unflattering phenomenon.
If you’ve tried every diet and exercise plan imaginable but still struggle with unwanted neck and chin fat, you aren’t alone. Many people who eat healthy and have no problem toning their arms, legs and abs still find it difficult to eradicate the fat around their submental area. This low hanging, fleshy region is often referred to as a “double chin.”
With Fat dissolve, you can eliminate the need for liposuction or other invasive fat-elimination techniques. Through a series of injections, Deoxycholic acid mimics the body’s natural fat-absorption process and leaves you with a sleek and slim chin area that’s picture perfect.
BENEFITS OF Fat dissolve
- Deoxycholic acid is FDA-approved
- No anesthesia or surgery required
- Fat cells are destroyed for good
- Fast and efficient treatments
How does Fat dissolve work?
Formerly known as ATX-101 is a synthetic version of the naturally occurring molecule deoxycholic acid, which is produced by the human body in our own intestines for the break down and absorption of dietary fats. This breakthrough treatment has been the focus of a global program involving over 20 clinical studies involving over 2,600 patients.
When it is injected into the subcutaneous (beneath the skin) fat of the submental (under the neck) region, the membranes of the targeted fat cells are destroyed. Once destroyed, the cells are no longer able to store fat. The destruction of these cells is then followed by the body’s natural elimination and healing process. This process is slow but steady, and the fat cells are typically removed from the area within 4 to six weeks after receiving injections.
Did you know?
While double chins aren’t serious medical conditions, they are visible cosmetic imperfections that many people wish would simply disappear. Many people are bothered by the appearance of double chins in photos – especially those taken from a profile perspective. In fact:

Fat Dissolve FAQ’s
Which area of the body can be treated ?
Currently, it has only been approved for use on double chins. Because it has been shown to be most effective on small sections of fat, it’s not a viable option for treating issues like love handles or muffin tops, though the FDA is researching its potential benefits for these areas.
How long do results from it last?
Once it destroys fat cells, they’re gone forever, which means the results from the injections are permanent. In the clinical trials used by the FDA, even patients who experienced weight gain after receiving Deoxycholic acid didn’t see the return of their double chins. Still, you should always strive to maintain a healthy weight to maximize the results.
What are the side effects ?
The most common side effects include swelling, bruising and discomfort following the procedure. Serious side effects are quite rare, but may include nerve injuries in the jaw that may cause facial weakness, as well as trouble swallowing. In clinical trials, however, most people described simply feeling “tender” four hours after the treatment. Ice and over-the-counter anti-inflammatory medications can be used to effectively reduce pain and swelling.
Does it hurt?
Comfort levels vary by guest. If you feel you may be sensitive to injections, you can have your submental area numbed to reduce discomfort. In clinical trials, pain and swelling decreased over subsequent sessions. Pain and swelling can be managed by oral analgesics, topical anesthetics, injectable anesthetics, and ice. Guests who are opposed to injections may want to consider CoolSculpting on the submental area as an alternative.
Who should or shouldn’t receive this treatments?
While many people are qualified to receive the injections, you should talk to consultant or doctor about whether you’d be a good candidate. During your consultation at Triniti laser clinic , you’ll be asked a series of questions regarding your health history, existing health conditions, allergies and whether or not you may be pregnant, as all of these factors could have an effect on how your body responds to treatment. Deoxycholic acid only be used by adults 18 and over. The best candidates have moderate submental fullness, good skin quality with minimal laxity and are willing and able to follow post-treatment recommendations.
What are dermal fillers?
Dermal fillers help to diminish facial lines and restore volume and fullness in the face.
As we age, our faces naturally lose subcutaneous fat. The facial muscles are then working closer to the skin surface, so smile lines and crow’s feet become more apparent.
The facial skin also stretches a bit, adding to this loss of facial volume. Other factors that affect the facial skin include sun exposure, heredity and lifestyle.
What dermal fillers can do
- Plump thin lips
- Enhance shallow contours
- Soften facial creases and wrinkles
- Improve the appearance of recessed scars
- Reconstruct contour deformities in the face
- Decrease or remove the shadow of the lower lids
- Nose re shaping
Dermal fillers can be very helpful in those with early signs of aging, or as a value-added part of facial rejuvenation surgery.
What dermal fillers can’t do
For some patients, surgery such as a facelift, brow lift or eye lift may be the best approach. Nonsurgical rejuvenation treatments, such as soft tissue fillers, cannot achieve the same results, but may help delay the time when consideration of a facelift becomes appropriate. It is important to remember that dermal fillers are temporary treatments for facial aging and that ongoing treatments will be needed for long-term results.
